Carrier oil use on your hair journey!

If you’re on your natural hair journey you are probably familiar with carrier and essential oils. You probably use one or two whilst doing the LOC method. Carrier oils are natural oils that provide extra benefits to African American hair as they attract moisture and maintain it in the cuticles. Carrier oils are used to seal in the moisture imparted by your leave in conditioner of choice. There are various carrier oils that you can use on your natural hair journey, but we picked just a few to delve deeper into below:
1.) Argan oil
Argan oil, known to be amazing at taming down frizz, is derived from argan nuts. Argan oil is lightweight and great for those with less dense hair.

2.) Coconut oil
Coconut oil is a light moisturizer that can be used on the hair for conditioning and detangling. Coconut oil is great when used as a pre-poo and can also be mixed with your favourite deep conditioner

3.) Grapeseed oil
This oil is a great oil for everyday use as it is lightweight, non-greasy, and silky in consistency. It has a light scent and can easily be customized with the addition of your favourite essential oil,

4.) Avocado oil
Avocado oil is a great oil that adds extra moisture and sheen to the hair. Avocado oil is also great for dry damaged hair as it contains an endless amount of nutrients. This oil can be massaged into your scalp to promote blood flow to your hair follicles
